Get Ready to Party!
We may have just re-surfaced from the biggest festive period of the year (or feastive looking at me!) but as you know there is never a bad time for a party.

At Ten Little Indians we have a real soft spot for partyware and so Tina and I were so excited when our latest range of party goods arrived.

Of course every good party needs bunting and whether it be spots, lace, paisley or stars and stripes we have it. We were totally smitten with the great new range of paper card bunting.

Or if you are over bunting then why not mix it up with a paper chain kit.

And if you love red with white spot as much as I do you'll love these -

What about these for the little man in your life?

So bring on the party by clicking here - http://www.tenlittleindians.com.au/products.php?cat=8

The Small Things Do Matter
It is the general gist of this blog that Even the Small Things Matter and so as I sum up another week I am trying to tell myself just that. I have just tried to collate any notable...no ok, any achievements this week and in short only two things come to mind.

The first is probably not my achievement to claim but one that I am nonetheless, very happy about. Martha has finally started toilet training....yippeeeee. At 3 years and 2 months of age I was beginning to wonder whether we would be changing her nappy forever but she finally decided this week that it is entirely possible to sit on the toilet and not fall in.

I honestly think we have Hattie to thank for Martha's progress as she suddenly developed an interest when Hattie (14 months) used the potty, (by fluke or otherwise) twice. Oh the power of sibling rivalry! As they say - whatever it takes.

My second achievement, putting up the Christmas tree without any injury to myself, my husband or the kids. Truly, setting up the Christmas tree with three little children was quite stressful particularly when I like things to be just so! Each couldn't quite get the notion that it is good to spread the decorations out so while Henry placed all the red decorations to one side (within a 30cm radius), Martha worked diligently placing 20 silver birds on two branches of the 2m high tree. All the while Hattie padded around removing decorations and putting them back in the box.

It did make me smile though as they sang their combined rendition of Santa Clause is coming to town and Jingle Bells and when complete they dimmed the lights and sat on the couch admiring their work wondering when the presents would appear.

Another week down...

Is That an Echo?
I think it happens to every parent but it is becoming a little unnerving. My children are starting to echo my sentiments - literally. Some recent pearls of wisdom -

Following an argument of sorts -
"well it is obviously some sort of misunderstanding." Henry, 4.

Martha counselling Henry -
"Don't be ridiculous Henry." (pronounced ri-dicu-los) Martha , 3.

After being called to the dinner table -
"Just a minute I'll just send this email." Martha tapping on a toy laptop, 3.

"Is this from Ten Little Indians Mum?" Henry on anything totally fashionable!

"Actually...." Martha starting her argument.

"No..." Hattie 1, finishing her argument!

What next?
